This is a serious commitment. But who will set the vision, connect every SME and subcontractor, and champion our sector—from Whitehall to every factory floor?
Yes, Innovate UK, Make UK and the Catapult Network play vital roles. But they don’t speak directly for millions of small‑business engineers and regional suppliers who ARE the backbone of UK manufacturing.
